Josie Howard is the Chief Executive Officer of We Are Oceania (WAO). Before her role as a CEO for We Are Oceania, Josie played several roles that serviced the community through the education and health sectors. Josie’s community involvement includes being the founder of the Young Voyagers, a youth club in Media with ‘Ōlelo, and co-founder of the Micronesian Health Advisory Council, and Micronesian Cultural Awareness Project. One of her most recent accomplishments was in 2022, when Josie was nominated by the Church of the Crossroads in Honolulu, Hawai’i for the Martin Luther King’s Peacemaker award. Josie has recently received her Master’s degree in Social Work and is now working as a Coordinator/Facilitator at EPIC ‘Ohana Inc. and as a Social Worker at the St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church.
